Newborn session with 12 day old Yunxuan went so smoothly! Usually I work around fussing, feeding and many pooppy messes but today was one of those exceptionally easy sessions. YAY!!! I particularly enjoyed photographing brand new mommy Sarah with her mom and her daughter. We all kinda teared up for a few seconds recognising what a special moment it was. 

Having two boys of my own, I always overdo the pink it seems when I have a baby girl in the studio... In this case though, mommy was 100% ok with it so I went for it! I did throw in a touch of blue at the end to balance things out. 

With so many props in the studio I tend to get comfortable with a few and use them over and over. So, to avoid doing it too much, I ask my clients to pick a few that catch their eye. Grandmother Suyang suggested the flower headband. It's one I hadn't used yet and I'm really pleased with how it turned out. I might just use it again soon!
